1 -

The genealogy of Jesus Christ through Joseph is given, passing through David and the kings of Israel and Abraham. Mary was pregnant while betrothed to Joseph, but an angel of the Lord told him in a dream that she will bear Jesus who will save his people from their sins. Joseph took his wife but knew her not until she gave birth to Jesus.

2 -

Wise men from the east came to Jerusalem after the prophecies and the sign of the star. Herod sent them to find the baby king and report back to him. The star guided them to Jesus and Mary, and they worshiped him and gifted him gold, frankincense, and myrrh. A dream warned them not to return to Herod. When they left, an angel told Joseph in a dream to take his family to Egypt, as Herod was to kill all the 2yro boys. When Herod died, an angel appeared in another dream to Joseph to beckon them to Israel, then another dream led him to Nazareth in Galilee.

3 -

John the Baptist preached repentance in the wilderness and baptized people from the region in the Jordan River. He called the Pharisees and Sadducees a generation of vipers and told them to bear fruit of repentance or burn. Jesus will come to baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire, and the wheat will be separated from the chaff. Jesus came to be baptized, too, going up from the water with the heavens open to Him, and the Spirit of God descended like a dove and rested on Him. A voice from Heaven spoke, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

4 -

Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil after fasting 40 days and 40 nights. For each temptation of misuse of His power, Jesus replies with Scripture. Satan offers to give Him all the kingdoms in exchange for worshiping him, and Jesus told him to be gone! You shall only worship the Lord Your God. When John the Baptist was arrested, Jesus withdrew to Galilee and from then on preached to repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He called fishermen to follow Him - Simon (who is called Peter), Andrew, James the son of Zebedee, John, and their father. He taught all over Galilee and healed the sick and possessed in Syria. Great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis and from Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.

5 -

Jesus preached the Beatitudes on the mount. He also preached on salt of the earth and the light of the world, coming not to abolish but to fulfill the Law, not being angry, insulting, or calling others fools, reconciling quickly with others, not committing adultery in your heart, that divorce is adultery, to not swear on oaths, to turn the other cheek, to love your enemies, and to pray for your persecutors.

6 -

Do not work to be seen but work towards your Father who is in secret - in giving to the needy, in prayer, and in fasting. Pray like the Lord's Prayer. Do not lay up treasures on earth but in heaven. The eye is the lamp of the body. No one can serve two masters. Your heavenly Father feeds birds and clothes the lily, and anxiety cannot add one hour to your life. Seek first the kingdom and all will be added.

7 -

Judge not that you be not judged. Why do you see a speck in your brother's eye but not a log in your own? Do not throw pearls before pigs. As and it will be given to you. Knock and it will be opened. If you who are evil know how to give good gifts, how much more the Father. Golden rule. The gate to life is narrow and found by few. You will recognize false prophets by their fruits. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, will enter heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father. The wise man who built his house on the rock. Jesus finished preaching, and His sermon astonished the crowds, for he taught with authority and not as a scribe.

8 -

Jesus came down from the mountain. A leper came for healing, so Jesus healed him and sent him back to his priest in accordance with the law. Jesus entered Capernaum and met a centurion who wanted his paralyzed servant healed. Jesus said He'd go, but the centurion was unworthy and requested only a word, which immediately healed the servant. Jesus marveled at his faith that surpassed Israelites, for many foreigners will enter heaven, while the sons of the kingdom won't. Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law and many oppressed with demons and illness. Crowds followed Him, and He told them His path is without a place to lay His head nor allows you to first bury your father. Jesus slept in a storm, but His disciples were afraid. He arose and rebuked the winds and sea, and they obeyed Him. In Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men feared Christ's torment and asked to be sent into pigs, so the whole herd rushed and drowned in the waters. The herdsmen fled and all the city begged Him to leave.

15 - What comes out of the mouth defiles a person, the Canaanite woman's great faith, healing of crowds, feeding of 4000 with 7 loaves and a few small fish

The Pharisees and scribes criticized the disciples for breaking the tradition of the elders by not washing their hands when they eat. Jesus said they break the commandment of God for the sake of their tradition. God commanded us to honor our father and mother and that whoever reviles them must die, while the Pharisees say you need not honor your father if you say, "What you would have gained from me is given to God." They hypocritically worship Him while teaching as doctrine the commandments of men. Jesus proclaimed then explained to Peter that it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, since it is eventually expelled. It is what comes out of the mouth, as that proceeds from, the heart. Evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, and slander defile a person, not eating with unwashed hands. Every plant the Father has not planted will be rooted up, and the blind leading the blind will fall into a pit.

Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon where a Canaanite woman came out and cried for mercy from the Son of David, as her daughter was severely oppressed by a demon. Jesus did not answer her, and His disciples begged him to send her away. He said He was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. She knelt before him asking for help. He told her it's not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs, but she said even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table. Jesus said her faith is great, and her daughter was healed instantly.

Jesus went on to the Sea of Galilee and up on the mountain to sit, while great crowds gathered the lame, blind, crippled, mute, and others at His feet. He healed them, and the crowds wondered and glorified the God of Israel.

Then Jesus called his disciples and said He had compassion on the crowd for having nothing to eat after being with Him three days. The disciples asked how to get enough bread in such a desolate place, and Jesus found they had 7 loaves and a few small fish. He took them, gave thanks, then gave them to the disciples to distribute. All 4000 men besides women and children ate to satisfaction, and 7 baskets full of the broken pieces were left over. He sent away the crowds, got in a boat, and went to Magadan.
